A Body With A Voice
Cian Mc Conn
15th – 19th December 2009
An experimental exhibition by Cian Mc Conn – Objects and elements from McConn’s practice were sent to Basement Project Space in a large envelope from New York, with instructions. Relating in many ways to 1960′s Conceptual art practices, Cian included instructions for the installers to hang the work in the dark with one hand. The idea is to loose a certain amount of control, of the aesthetic decision making process.
